Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice
Up to £60,000 DOE
Full Time or Part Time | Permanent
Woking, Surrey
Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a genuinely independent practice where patient care comes before targets, your opinion is valued, and you can be part of a team that truly supports one another?
This established and growing independent practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its close-knit team following the relocation of a long-standing colleague overseas.
The practice has built its reputation on treating every pet as an individual and every client as a partner in their pet's care. They pride themselves on providing a personal, relationship-led service, taking the time to listen, communicate openly, and deliver the best possible outcomes for patients.
This is an opportunity to join a busy practice where clinical freedom is respected, ideas are welcomed, and ambitions are actively supported.
The Role
This position offers a varied mix of consultations and surgery within a busy first-opinion environment.
You'll be working alongside a highly experienced and collaborative team who enjoy discussing cases, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another both clinically and personally.
The practice is looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in delivering excellent patient care, and wants to contribute positively to the culture of the practice.
Professional development is encouraged, with certificates and further training fully supported.
The Practice
Established in 2008, this proudly independent practice has continued to grow while maintaining the friendly, community-focused values it was founded upon.
The team are committed to delivering high-quality veterinary care with a personal touch, building long-term relationships with clients and ensuring continuity of care wherever possible.
Facilities include advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment, allowing a wide range of cases to be managed in-house, while maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and owners.
The Team & Culture
The team consists of approximately 23 staff members, including:
- 6 Veterinary Surgeons
- 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 2 Student Veterinary Nurses
- 2 Animal Nursing Assistants
- Dedicated reception and support teams
One of the practice's greatest strengths is its team retention, with the majority of employees having been with the practice for over five years.
As the practice continues to grow, it has worked hard to maintain an open and collaborative culture where every team member has a voice. Ideas are encouraged, development is supported, and individuals are given the opportunity to pursue their interests and career ambitions.
This is not a KPI-driven environment or a practice built around rigid structures and targets. Instead, the focus is on doing what is right for the patient, supporting colleagues, and providing outstanding client care.
