Wolviston Management Services are supporting our fantastic client in the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Production Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the ramp-up of a high-volume company.
The successful candidate will provide both technical and strategic operational support, driving improvements in manufacturing performance, capacity planning, and production efficiency within a cleanroom environment. Key Responsibilities
Deliver industrial and manufacturing engineering expertise to support wafer fabrication operations
Maintain and develop capacity models to inform equipment investment and labour planning strategies
Apply proven Lean manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques to optimise cycle time, line velocity, equipment uptime, and delivery performance
Analyse WIP (Work in Progress) data and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Automation teams to align on business objectives and optimise production flow
Conduct capacity analysis and "what-if" scenario modelling to support business decisions and future planning
Lead initiatives to improve cycle time, throughput, and factory efficiency
Perform time studies and data analysis using automation logs to assess process changes
Support tool owners in understanding capacity and process impacts
Provide key inputs for management reporting and operational reviews
Determine feasible production starts and product mix aligned to current and forecast demand
Support the introduction of new processes, methods, and manufacturing flows
Estimate manufacturing costs and time standards, recommending tooling and process improvements
Maintain accurate records, reporting systems, and performance metrics About You You will be a results-driven and analytical professional with a strong background in manufacturing environments, ideally within electronics, or automotive industries.
Essential Experience
Minimum 2+ years' experience in manufacturing, capacity modelling, or operations optimisation
Strong data analysis and problem-solving capability, including statistical modelling
Experience working in a cleanroom environment (or willingness to do so) Technical Skills
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Familiarity with industrial engineering and production optimisation techniques Personal Attributes

Confident in presenting data and influencing decisions Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years' industry experience, or
7+ years' relevant industry experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering
