How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial New Business Account Executive
    Commercial & Mid-Market Insurance | Northwest
    Salary £60-67,000 per annum plus car allowance and bonus.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Insurance professional to join a growing and ambitious insurance business in the Northwest.

    This role is focused on developing new business opportunities across the commercial and mid-market sector, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions to a broad range of businesses.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth, identifying and converting high-quality prospects, and helping to expand the commercial portfolio across the region.

    Commercial New Business Account Executive key responsibilities include:

    Developing and winning new commercial and mid-market business opportunities across the Northwest
    Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients
    Identifying client insurance needs and delivering tailored commercial insurance solutions
    Managing the full sales process from initial engagement through to conversion and onboarding
    Building long-term relationships with clients, introducers, and insurer partners
    Working closely with internal service teams to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing client experience
    Supporting the development of affinity and strategic partnerships
    Maintaining strong relationships with key insurer partners
    Contributing to business growth plans and commercial strategy
    Providing market feedback and identifying opportunities for proposition developmentCommercial New Business Account Executive experience required

    Minimum 3 years’ experience within Commercial Insurance
    Proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities
    Experience developing and managing a commercial pipeline
    Strong client relationship and business development skills
    Experience working within a sales-driven environment
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    Knowledge of Acturis
    Progress towards CII qualificationsThe ideal Commercial New Business Account Executive candidate will be:
