A welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in Chelmsford is looking for a strong, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their Inclusion Team this September.
This is a role where you won't just be "supporting in class" - you'll be helping young people remove barriers, build confidence, and actually believe they can succeed.
As an LSA, you will:
Support students with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs in mainstream classrooms
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning and stay engaged
Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual needs
Support behaviour for learning in a calm, consistent and positive way
Work closely with teachers and the SEN/Inclusion team
Help students build confidence, independence and resilience
Be a key adult students trust and can rely on during the school dayWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who:
Has a calm, patient and consistent approach
Can build strong relationships quickly with young people
Has a good sense of humour (essential for school life!)
Can stay positive even when things are challenging
Understands or has experience of SEN/SEMH (desirable but not essential)
Brings energy, reliability and a genuine desire to help young people succeed
