How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Branch Manager - Sales & Business Growth Leader

    Birmingham (Solihull) - Hybrid working (3 days office attendance)

    Salary: £40,000 + car allowance + uncapped commission

    Manpower is looking for an ambitious Branch Manager to lead our Birmingham operation. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who sees beyond day-to-day recruitment delivery and is excited by the challenge of growing market share, expanding client partnerships and creating a clear roadmap for future business success.

    You'll take ownership of an established and successful branch, with the autonomy to develop and execute a growth strategy across our temporary and permanent recruitment solutions within driving, logistics, manufacturing and commercial sectors.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Drive Business Growth & Market Expansion
    Develop and execute a clear business growth strategy for the region
    Identify new market opportunities, sector growth areas and emerging client needs
    Create and implement business development plans that drive revenue, profitability and market share
    Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities across temporary and permanent recruitment solutions
    Lead from the front in securing new business and growing existing accounts
    Strengthen the branch's presence and reputation within the local market

    Commercial Leadership

    Take full ownership of branch financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability and budget delivery
    Analyse market trends, competitor activity and business performance data to inform strategic decisions
    Develop forecasting models and growth plans that support long-term business objectives
    Drive a culture focused on commercial performance, accountability and results
    Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability across the operation

    Build High-Performing Teams

    Inspire, coach and develop a commercially focused team
    Create a high-performance sales culture where consultants are empowered to maximise opportunities
    Develop future leaders and build succession plans for continued growth
    Encourage innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across the business

    Strategic Planning & Operational Excellence

    Translate business objectives into actionable growth plans
    Use data, analytics and market intelligence to guide decision-making
    Partner with operational and support functions to ensure scalable, efficient delivery
    Continuously review business performance and adapt strategies to maximise growth opportunities

    Who We're Looking For

    An experienced recruitment leader, sales leader or business manager with a proven track record of growing and scaling a business
    A commercially astute professional who enjoys identifying opportunities and turning strategy into results
    Experienced in business development, account growth and revenue generation
    Comfortable analysing business performance and using data to shape future plans
    A confident relationship builder who can influence stakeholders at all levels
    Passionate about developing high-performing teams and creating a strong sales culture
    Entrepreneurial in your approach, with the drive to challenge the status quo and deliver growth
    Experienced within recruitment, staffing or workforce solutions (preferred)
