Role Description This is a full-time or part time hybrid role based in Manchester, with a mix of on-site client visits and work-from-home flexibility. The Water Utilities Rebate Advisor will analyze client water usage, billing, and contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. The role involves preparing clear reports, proposals, and presentations that explain findings and recommendations in accessible language. The advisor will liaise with water suppliers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with current regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities also include monitoring market and regulatory developments, advising clients on risk and sustainability, and managing ongoing relationships to support long-term improvements in water management.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret water consumption data, tariffs, and contracts.
- MUST HAVE UTILITIES REBATE EXPERIANCE
- Experience or knowledge in utilities, water management, environmental services, or a related field.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-specialist clients.
- Client relationship management skills, including stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client projects independently.
- Comfort with hybrid working, including on-site client visits across Manchester and remote collaboration.
- Proficiency with common office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or project tracking tools).
- Relevant degree or vocational qualification in utilities, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related discipline is beneficial, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Understanding of UK water regulations, market structure, and sustainability practices is an advantage.
