How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Print Finisher / Slitting Operative - Normanton, West Yorkshire

    We’re looking for a Print Finisher / Slitting Operative to join our team at a well-established and growing flexible packaging business in Normanton. If you’ve got experience in manufacturing and enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, this could be a great next step.

    You’ll play a key part in our secondary print operations, working across machinery in conversion to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications.

    The Role

    * Operating machinery safely and efficiently within H&S guidelines

    * Monitoring output and quality, spotting and rejecting any defects

    * Making adjustments to maintain product quality and performance

    * Carrying out QA checks and recording accurate results

    * Keeping machine waste and rejects to a minimum

    * Recording adjustments and production data within our systems

    * Troubleshooting issues and taking corrective action when needed

    Working hours

    This role operates on a 3-week rotating shift pattern:

    * Week 1: 3 days (6:00am – 6:15pm)

    * Week 2: 3 nights (6:00pm – 6:15am)

    * Week 3: 2 days & 2 nights
