The Opportunity:
We are partnering with a premier, fast-growing Tier 1 specialist fit-out and interior systems contractor in the UK to recruit a mid-level Project Planner. Known for delivering complex, high-specification interior infrastructure projects within highly regulated environments, the company prides itself on a collaborative, consulting-led working culture and a first-class team environment.
This is a pivotal role for a confident, trusted Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will act as the planning backbone for projects across the business, working independently to build robust programmes while embedding yourself as a key advisor to Project Management and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Development & Management: Take full ownership of project schedules across the complete lifecycle, developing master and sub-schedules to ensure seamless delivery.
Commercial & PM Alignment: Partner closely with Project Managers and Commercial teams to track progress, evaluate delays, map critical paths, and provide accurate forecasting data.
Stakeholder Management: Adopt a highly consultative, collaborative communication style to advise internal delivery teams and manage external client expectations confidently at all levels.
Contract Administration: Utilise a strong working knowledge of NEC contracts to manage schedule variations, early warnings, and compensation events efficiently.
Progress Tracking & Reporting: Conduct baseline reviews, physical progress measurements, and schedule impact analyses, translating complex data into clear reports for senior management.What We're Looking For:
Industry Experience: Proven track record as a Planner within the UK construction, structural interior systems, or high-end commercial fit-out sectors.
Software Mastery (Non-Negotiable): Advanced, hands-on proficiency in both Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Contractual Knowledge: Robust, practical experience managing project schedules governed by NEC contract suites.
Security & Compliance: Due to the sensitive nature of the projects and asset locations, candidates holding SC or DV Clearance (or who are eligible and hold a British passport) are highly preferred.
Communication Style: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong client-facing pedigree. You must be an independent worker who is confident advising teams, building deep rapport, and acting as a trusted project partner.Work Structure & Location:
Onboarding: Based fully in the Berkshire office for the first 3 months to ensure comprehensive integration with the team and projects.
Hybrid Split: Following successful onboarding, the role splits between site visits and office-based work over a 5-day week, with the potential for 1-2 days working from home (WFH) if commuting from a further distance.What's on Offer (Package & Benefits):
