Based out of their Oldham office, this is an opportunity to join a business that has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality roofing and cladding packages nationwide, covering both new build and refurbishment works.
The role
This is an office-based Estimator role with some site involvement where required, supporting the commercial team in pricing and securing projects.
You'll be involved across the full tender lifecycle, working on a mix of roofing and cladding schemes, and playing a key role in helping the business win work.
Day to day, you'll be:
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Carrying out material take-offs and pricing exercises
Building up detailed and accurate cost estimates
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Supporting project teams at handover stage once work is secured
Occasionally visiting sites to better understand project scope and delivery
What my client is looking for:
Experience in estimating within the construction industry
Ideally some exposure to roofing, cladding, or building envelope works
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external partners
Confident using Excel and estimating tools
This role could suit someone currently working as an Estimator, or potentially a QS or Assistant QS with strong pre-construction or pricing experience looking to move into estimating.
