How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and enhancing process safety standards across a key manufacturing site based in Kingston Upon Hull.

    Description

    The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for, however not limited to;

    Providing specialist technical support across process safety within site operations and capital projects
    Leading and facilitate process hazard analyses, including HAZOP, LOPA, and Process Risk Assessments
    Supporting and govern Management of Change (MoC) processes to ensure effective risk mitigation
    Partnering with cross-functional teams to embed best-in-class process safety tools and methodologies
    Driving improvements in process safety performance, risk reduction, and asset reliability
    Leading or supporting incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
    Ensuring delivery of risk assessments and associated actions in line with agreed timelines
    Developing and implement performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance structures to strengthen safety performanceProfile

    A successful Process Safety Engineer should have:

    A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
    Proven knowledge of process safety principles and regulations.
    Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify potential risks.
    Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Job Offer
