Boston Rose are working with an independent school to recruit a Humanities Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis.
We're looking for a Humanities Teacher who can deliver engaging and accessible lessons across Key Stages 3-5, helping pupils achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.
This role would suit an experienced Humanities Teacher, an ECT, or someone with substantial teaching or tutoring experience looking to work within a specialist setting.
The Role
* Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3-5
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs
* Adapt teaching in line with EHCPs and support plans
* Create a calm, structured and therapeutic learning environment
* Support pupils with autism, SEN and SEMH needs
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families
* Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and reporting
* Uphold safeguarding and contribute to a positive school culture
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or substantial teaching/tutoring experience
* Ability to teach Humanities at KS3-KS5
* Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
* Calm, reflective and adaptable approach
* Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
Desirable
* Experience working with autism, SEN or SEMH learners
* Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
* Experience within specialist education, alternative provision or SEND settings
