The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of refurbishment and fit-out projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure commercially sound decisions throughout the tender process.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, and plant
Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation
Support tender submissions and bid strategy
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
Assess and manage project risks and opportunities
Maintain and update cost databases in line with current market conditions
Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial, and project delivery teamsRequirements
Proven experience in a construction estimating role (typically projects up to £3m)
Strong knowledge of refurbishment and fit-out projects
Experience using estimating software (e.g. ConQuest) and strong Excel skills
Good commercial awareness with the ability to support winning tenders
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
