How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Cross-border energy transactions

    * Energy transition projects linked to traditional oil and gas infrastructure

    * Multi-jurisdictional project coordination

    The Projects Associate will play an active role in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, managing transactions, coordinating international workstreams and supporting clients through major project developments.

    The Firm

    This international practice is recognised as one of the most prominent advisers within the global energy sector.

    With a substantial presence across key energy markets worldwide, the firm acts for many of the world's leading energy companies, investors, financial institutions and government-backed entities. The projects team is regularly instructed on first-of-their-kind developments, major LNG projects, strategic infrastructure investments and complex cross-border transactions.

    The firm's international platform provides associates with the opportunity to work seamlessly with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, offering exposure to truly global work rarely matched elsewhere in the market.

    The Projects Associate

    The successful candidate is likely to have:

    * Between 3 and 5 years' PQE

    * Experience gained within a recognised projects, energy or infrastructure practice

    * Exposure to oil and gas projects and commercial agreements

    * Strong drafting and negotiation skills

    * Experience working on cross-border transactions

    * Excellent academics and technical ability

    * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the energy sector

    * Confidence working directly with clients and international stakeholders

    * A collaborative and proactive approach

    Candidates with experience advising on LNG, upstream developments, energy infrastructure projects or broader international energy transactions will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

    Why Apply?

    * Join a globally recognised energy and projects practice

    * Work on major international oil and gas developments

    * Exposure to market-leading clients and sophisticated transactions

    * Significant responsibility and client contact

    * Access to a genuinely international platform

    * Strong progression opportunities

    * Collaborative and supportive team environment

    * Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package

    For a Projects Associate seeking exposure to high-profile international energy work and the opportunity to develop within one of the world's leading energy practices, this represents an outstanding career opportunity
