The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting pupils with ASD, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, responding confidently to challenges as they arise, and working closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with ASD
• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar support role
• The ability to think on their feet and respond effectively to changing situations
• A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
