How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant

    * Location: Rubery, Birmingham, B45
    * Weekly Pay Rate: £500 - £525
    * Start Date: ASAP
    * Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
    * Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
    * Contract: Long-Term to Permanent

    Long Term Futures are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rubery, Birmingham. This role will be based within Key Stage 2, providing a mixture of whole-class support, targeted interventions and occasional 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.

    The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships with pupils, promote positive behaviour and help children overcome barriers to learning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive staff team where inclusion and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of the school's ethos.

    The Role

    Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms
    Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
    Provide occasional 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional guidance
    Implement behaviour support strategies to promote engagement and positive outcomes
    Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development
    Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities where required
    Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and improve classroom participation
    Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOThe Ideal Candidate

    Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential)
    Previous experience working within a primary school setting
    Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
    Strong behaviour management skills and confidence managing challenging situations
    Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
    Calm, patient and resilient approach
    Team Teach, Positive Handling or other behaviour management training (highly desirable)About the School
