How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: CNC Miller Setter

    Job Type: Weekends, Perm

    Location: Banbury

    Hours: Fri-Sun 7am-7:30pm

    Pay: £43,360.20 - £45,442.28

    Norbar Torque Tools Ltd, the world leading torque tool manufacturer is looking to recruit a skilled and reliable CNC Setter/Operator to join our weekend shift production team (comprising 36 hours Friday - Sunday), in this role, you will ensure CNC and relevant manual machines operate efficiently, safely and to the required specifications.

    Key responsibilities:
    ⦁ Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety procedures and ensuring work areas remain clean and hazard-free.
    ⦁ Work to planned schedules, following work-to lists and coordinating with shift management to support effective production planning.
    ⦁ Ensure data accuracy, reporting any errors through the correct processes.
    ⦁ Set and operate CNC machinery and associated production equipment to produce components to specification.
    ⦁ Follow workplace standards and control plans, inspect components against engineering drawings using various measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
    ⦁ Collaborate with other departments as needed to support smooth production flow.
    ⦁ Perform any additional duties reasonably requested by Shift Management.

    About You:
    ⦁ Experience setting and operating CNC machines (knowledge/background with Matsuura Multi-Pallet machinery would be a distinct advantage).
    ⦁ A good understanding of engineering drawings and measurement tools.
    ⦁ A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    ⦁ Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
    ⦁ Reliable, organised and able to work to production targets.
