Service Care Soltuions are supporting the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry who are looking for a qualified solicitor or advocate with a passion for supporting impactful legal work. We are seeking a dedicated Covid-19 Solicitor to join a high-profile public inquiry team based in Edinburgh. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to Scotland’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, working on a key legal project that aims to establish facts and learn lessons from the strategic handling of the pandemic in Scotland. Key Responsibilities:
Providing legal advice to the Chair and Inquiry teams
Identifying, recovering, and analysing documentary evidence
Developing lines of inquiry and identifying relevant witnesses
Taking witness statements and supporting evidence gathering
Managing disclosure and redaction exercises
Liaising with Counsel and external legal representatives
We're looking for candidates with:

Qualification as a solicitor or advocate in Scottish Law
Strong legal analysis and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach

Salary: Grade C1 (£62111 per annum)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Contract: 12 month possible extension 23 months 
Ltd Day Rate: £326.04 - PAye: (INC) £276.66
