How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Brake Press Setter

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Press Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and manual brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.

    Key Responsibilities

    Set up and adjust brake press machines for production runs.
    Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
    Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings.
    Program and operate CNC brake press equipment where required.
    Perform first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
    Monitor production runs and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
    Measure and inspect finished components using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
    Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
    Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
    Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
    Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

    Requirements

    Essential

    Previous experience as a Brake Press Setter, Press Brake Operator, or similar manufacturing role.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
    Experience setting and operating CNC brake press machines.
    Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
    Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Desirable

    Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar brake press equipment.
    Forklift or overhead crane certification.
    Engineering or manufacturing qualification.
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

    Working Conditions

    Manufacturing or workshop environment.
    Standing for extended periods and handling metal components.
    Shift work and overtime may be required depending on production demands.
