How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Talentmark are recruiting for an IT Product Owner to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry based in Basingstoke on a contract basis for 6 months. 

    Salary:

    Paying between £21.67 and £28.89 per hour PAYE.

    IT Product Owner role:

    Assist in the delivery of new digital products or services that address business problems or opportunities

    Help modify or configure existing systems to meet evolving business requirements.

    Contribute to requirements definition, analysis, and design activities following the full end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle.

    Assist in translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria within requirements management tooling (Jira), supporting sprint planning and backlog grooming.

    Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews) as an engaged team member. 

    Facilitate effective communication between technology and business stakeholders, supporting the resolution of day-to-day queries. 

    Your Background:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information, Business Technology, or a related field (recent graduates or those completing their degree are encouraged to apply).
    Demonstrable experience of agile product development, using IT service management principles.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    Familiarity with agile frameworks and tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
    Exposure to or curiosity about AI, automation, and digital innovation.
    Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps) is advantageous.

    Location:

    This role is based at our client's site in Basingstoke 3 days per week, and 2 days remote.
