We're recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established engineering team working on specialist subsea equipment. The Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you'll be involved in the assembly, testing, and commissioning of advanced mechanical and hydraulic equipment used in demanding subsea environments.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies
* Mechanical assembly and load testing of subsea products
* Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework
* Pressure testing, setup, and functional testing of a wide range of tooling and assemblies
* Working closely with other departments to ensure quality standards and project deadlines are achieved
* Completing all relevant documentation, including quality records, timesheets, NCRs, and ECNs
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
* A background in mechanical assembly, fitting, or maintenance
* Experience as an automotive mechanic, vehicle technician, or similar hands-on engineering role
* A solid understanding of mechanical engineering practices and assembly techniques
* Completed a mechanical apprenticeship or have equivalent shop-floor engineering experience
* A strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail
