How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Teacher - Burscough Primary School

    Location: Burscough
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract Type: Temporary - Full Time
    Pay: £140-£240 per day (dependent on experience)
    Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming primary school in Burscough who are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a full-time teaching role within Key Stage 2 for at least the Autumn Term 2026, with the school currently without a class teacher in place. As a result, they are looking to secure the successful candidate as soon as possible to allow for a smooth handover and participation in planned transition days before the summer break.
    The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a KS2 class, including planning, preparation, assessment and attendance at PPA sessions, ensuring pupils are well supported from the start of the new academic year.
    The school would welcome applications from both experienced teachers and enthusiastic ECTs looking to further develop their teaching career within a supportive environment.

    The Role:

    Take full responsibility for a KS2 class.

    Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

    Complete marking, assessment and progress tracking responsibilities.

    Attend and contribute to PPA sessions, staff meetings and school events.

    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

    Create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

    Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents and school leaders.

    Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

    Participate in transition activities prior to the summer holidays.

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

    Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.

    Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.

    Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

    Ability to plan, assess and deliver high-quality lessons.

    Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs.

    Commitment to supporting transition arrangements before September.
