How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pump Engineer Engineer to join one of the largest Fire Protection companies in the UK that offer fantastic training and development opportunities.

    *Fire Protection experience isn't essential as training can be provided, they are looking for somebody experienced in Pumps / Engines / Motors.*

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire pump systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently in accordance with industry standards.

    Fire Pump Engineer Key Responsibilities

    *

    Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire pump systems.

    *

    Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on diesel and electric fire pumps.

    *

    Install and commission new fire pump systems when required.

    *

    Perform testing and inspections to ensure systems meet safety and compliance requirements.

    *

    Complete service reports and documentation accurately.

    *

    Provide technical advice and support to clients when necessary.

    *

    Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.

    Fire Pump Engineer package

    *

    £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary dependant on experience

    * Door to door pay with enhanced OT rates - current Pump engineers take home between £50,000 - £60,000 annually

    *

    Company vehicle that can be used for personnel use

    30 days holiday per year including bank
