How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Eccles.

    This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, communication needs, and medical requirements.

    The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment. This role will include aspects of personal care and supporting students with their daily needs

    The Role

    Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
    Supporting learning and development both inside and outside the classroom
    Assisting with communication, sensory, and therapeutic activities
    Supporting students with personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, and personal hygiene where required
    Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction
    Assisting with mobility and physical support when necessary
    Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
    Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

    We Are Looking For

    Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs is desirable
    A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
    Confidence supporting individuals with personal care needs
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
    A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs

    Essential Requirements

    Enhanced DBS certificate covering Child and Adult Workforce, registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS check.
    Right to work in the UK.
    Ability to provide professional references covering the last two years.
    Comfortable supporting students with personal care needs.
    Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
