How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    At St Elizabeth’s Centre, we are looking for a passionate and motivated Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary therapy team supporting children, young people, and adults with complex needs.

    About the Role
    As part of our Occupational Therapy team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions that support individuals to maximise their independence, participation, wellbeing, and quality of life.

    Depending on experience, the role can be offered at Band 5 or Band 6 level, with appropriate supervision and development support provided.

    You will:

    Deliver person-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions
    Support individuals with sensory, physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
    Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, PBS Practitioners, Education, and Care teams
    Develop therapy programmes and specialist recommendations
    Support individuals to achieve meaningful goals and increase independence
    Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff and families
    Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and clinical reviews
    Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HCPC and professional standards

    About You
    We are looking for someone who is compassionate, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality therapeutic support.

    Essential

    Degree in Occupational Therapy
    HCPC registration (or pending registration for newly qualified applicants)

    Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT)

    Excellent communication and organisational skills
    Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
    Commitment to person-centred practice and safeguarding
