How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sammons Recruitment are working with a successful and growing client based in Hastings, who are seeking an enthusiastic Customer Service Executive to join their vibrant team on a 6-month contract basis.
     
    This is an excellent opportunity for proactive and engaging customer service focused individual, who can bring their extensive experience and positive attitude to a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain client relationships and manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
     
    This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role, but the client is open to a hybrid arrangement with some flexibility on start/finish times, allowing for a great work-life balance.
     
    What’s on Offer?

    Job type: Full-time, 6-month contract
    Location: Hastings
    Salary: £29,000 pro rata  
    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage assigned UK customer accounts and maintain daily communications
    Review contracts and process orders and schedules accurately within SAP
    Process customer orders in line with specific requirements efficiently and accurately
    Process quotations, returns and credit/debit requests
    Investigate and resolve customer queries without delay
    Conduct regular account reviews focusing on delivery performance, backlog and support issues
    Follow company policies and procedures
    Proactively follow-up on quotations and leads 
    Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

    Over 3 years’ experience within a customer service or account management role
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    Professional and confident telephone manner
    Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
    Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
    Ability to address any queries or concerns in a professional manner and present satisfactory solutions
    Experience using SAP (desirable)
