Role Description This is a flexible working role suited to a retired or semi-retired Chartered Accountant work-from-home flexibility. The Chartered Accountant will manage a portfolio of SME clients, reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, reviewing work prepared by junior team members. Liaising directly with founders and finance teams, optimizing cloud accounting setups (including Xero and QBO), and contributing to process improvements within the firm.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) with proven experience in practice working with SME clients.
- Strong technical skills in statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax compliance, including up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QBO) and related apps, including experience in system configuration, integrations, and data migration.
- Comfort using modern productivity and collaboration tools, and an interest in process automation and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with tech, eCommerce, or hospitality clients is an advantage
