How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician - Jaguar Land Rover
    Location: Yeovil
    Salary: £28,600 - £46,790 Basic + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

    Premier Recruitment Solutions are working with a prestigious Jaguar Land Rover retailer to recruit qualified Vehicle Technicians for their established dealership in Yeovil.

    Applications are welcomed from Service Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians, Senior Technicians and Master Technicians with previous workshop experience and a passion for delivering exceptional workmanship.

    Available Technician Levels & Salaries

    Service & Maintenance Technician: £28,600 - £36,950
    Service & Diagnostic Technician: £30,650 - £39,410
    Senior Technician: £32,700 - £41,870
    Master Technician: £36,800 - £46,790

    The Role

    As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service through high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, servicing and repair work.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work to manufacturer standards
    Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults efficiently
    Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
    Ensuring first-time fixes wherever possible
    Maintaining accurate workshop records
    Working collaboratively within a busy workshop environment
    Delivering high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction

    Requirements

    NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
    MOT Licence preferred but not essential
    Own tools
    Full UK Driving Licence
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
