How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CAD Technician
    Rayleigh
    £30,000 - £35,000 + Package + Training + Progression to CAD Manager

    This is a great opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a growing surveying business, where you will take ownership of your work, playing a key role in the department. Where you can quickly progress your role to CAD Manager.

    Are you a CAD Technician with experience with previous experience processing surveying data? Do you want to join a growing practice where you will play a pivotal role in the departments success whilst progressing to management?

    This company are a specialist surveying firm offering services such as utility mapping, topographical, building and laser scanning. They work on a diverse portfolio of project values from small to large scale works with both private and public sector clients. With an impressive pipeline of projects, they are actively seeking a CAD Technician to join their expanding team.

    In this role, your time will be primarily office based. Your main responsibilities will include managing and quality-checking CAD drawings produced by the team, ensuring all work meets a high standard, and providing feedback where necessary. You will also produce your own detailed drawings of utility data mapping.

    Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a CAD Technician with experience producing surveying data drawings, with any experience on SCC or N4ce being beneficial. Who is self-motivated and able to work independently to a high standard.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work. Where you will work on a variety of projects whilst having clear progression to CAD Manager as the business grows.

    The Role:

    Quality checking drawings produced by subcontractors
    Producing your own drawings of utility mapping data
    Based out of their office in Rayleigh
