How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Engineer 11kV/HV

    Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Low Carbon team on a permanent basis. This role focuses on substation, distribution, transmission, and energy projects, providing a unique opportunity to work on landmark projects and contribute to a sustainable future.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leading and developing cost-effective engineering solutions to complex problems.
    Delivering projects at various stages of development including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering, and Detailed Design.
    Preparing and developing Electrical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design, switchgear configurations, and producing bill of materials/quantities.
    Collaborating with equipment vendors to develop and evaluate equipment design packages.
    Assessing the condition, risk, opportunity, and need for intervention of electrical assets.
    Developing proposals and bids for the EC&I discipline and contributing to multi-disciplinary proposals.

    Job Requirements:

    Degree or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering with significant experience in electrical design, operation, maintenance, and testing.
    Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng/CEng and a member of a relevant Engineering Institute.
    Ability to take on a lead role in the development of Electrical deliverables and the assessment of assets.
    Knowledge of design, construction, and operation of power and energy projects.
    Understanding of design processes and experience in producing calculations and commissioning, operation, maintenance, and testing of medium and high voltage equipment and systems.
