How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Pre-Construction Assistant

    Location: Training in Perivale, then based full-time in Bank, London
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
    Salary: Competitive (DOE)

    About the Role

    We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Pre-Construction Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the construction industry but who may be unsure which specialist route to pursue.

    Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain exposure to multiple areas of the business including estimating, commercial, procurement and project administration, providing a strong foundation for a long-term career in construction.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Assisting with take-offs and quantity measurements

    * Supporting the buying and procurement process

    * Assisting with commercial duties and project documentation

    * Providing general administrative support to the pre-construction team

    * Maintaining accurate records and project information

    * Supporting the wider team with day-to-day pre-construction activities

    About You

    * Strong organisational and administrative skills

    * Good attention to detail

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office

    * Keen interest in the construction industry

    * Eager to learn and develop professionally

    * No previous construction experience required – full training will be provided
