How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This role focuses on managing the full recruitment lifecycle, developing client relationships, and sourcing high-quality candidates.

    The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting within engineering or finance sectors, or a strong interest in developing expertise within these markets.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development

    Identify and win new business opportunities within target industries
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
    Understand client hiring needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions
    Candidate Management

    Source, attract, and engage high-calibre candidates using multiple channels
    Conduct interviews, screening, and skills assessments
    Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process
    Account Management

    Maintain and grow existing client accounts
    Ensure high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction
    Provide market insights and hiring advice to clients
    Recruitment Delivery

    Manage the full 360 recruitment process from role qualification to placement
    Write and advertise job specifications
    Coordinate interviews and manage offer negotiations

    Required Skills & Experience

    Essential

    Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant or in a sales / business development role
    Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
    Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
    Ability to build relationships with both clients and candidates
    Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    Desirable

    Experience recruiting within engineering or finance sectors
    Knowledge of technical roles, financial markets, or industry-specific terminology
    Existing client network or market specialisation
