How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (key to key pay / overtime, pension, company vehicle)

    Our client who are becoming one of the fastest growing Integrators in the UK are seeking an experienced AV Installation Engineer to join their team. With an amazing staff and business culture, as well as a fantastic reputation, this is a great opportunity for someone to join a brilliant team.

    As the Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of the AV systems on site with the support of a Senior Engineer.

    To be considered for this role, you MUST live in the Berkshire area as you will leave every day from the client's office travelling in a team of 2.

    Duties:

    Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, interactive displays, video conferencing systems, and sound systems.
    Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide recommendations.
    Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing on-site and remote support as needed.
    Work closely with clients to ensure systems are installed and operating correctly.
    Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and support, to ensure seamless project delivery.
    Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
    Adhere to health and safety regulations during installations and service work.

    Desirable qualifications:

    CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or equivalent certification.
    Electrical or networking qualifications would be an advantage.
    Experience in programming control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX)
