How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Fundraising - Philanthropy

    Location: Liverpool (Hybrid)

    Salary: c.£50,000 per annum

    Contract: Permanent

    As Head of Fundraising – Philanthropy, you won’t simply be securing income — you’ll be building transformational partnerships, inspiring long-term investment and helping enable the organisation to do more of the work that matters most.



    Leading activity across major giving, philanthropy, high-value partnerships and strategic donor relationships, this role offers the chance to influence priorities, open new opportunities and create sustainable growth that supports long-term success.



    Working in a hybrid model based in Liverpool, this is an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with relationship building and make a visible contribution at a pivotal time.



    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and deliver the philanthropy and high-value fundraising strategy
    • Grow income through major gifts, strategic partnerships and philanthropic support
    • Build and develop a strong pipeline of opportunities and long-term relationships
    • Secure and steward significant multi-year support
    • Develop compelling cases for support and partnership propositions
    • Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting
    • Use insight and supporter data to drive decision making and maximise opportunity
    • Provide inspiring leadership and develop a high-performing team
    • Represent the organisation externally and strengthen its profile with donors and partners



    About You

    You’ll bring substantial senior-level fundraising experience across philanthropy, major giving, partnerships or another high-value income environment, with a proven ability to deliver growth and build meaningful relationships.



    You’ll combine strategic thinking with a passion for impact, strong leadership capability and the confidence to influence at senior levels. You’ll thrive in an environment where ambition, collaboration and purpose come together.
