A specialist education provider is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting children and young people with autism and complex additional needs.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a purpose-built specialist school environment for pupils aged 5-19. The setting offers excellent facilities including dedicated therapy spaces, sports facilities, outdoor learning areas, and tailored support environments designed to meet a wide range of needs.
The Role
Working as part of an integrated clinical and education team, you will support children and young people with a range of needs including:
Autism spectrum conditions
Developmental trauma
Neurodevelopmental differences
Special educational needs
You will provide clinically informed assessment, intervention, and therapeutic support while working collaboratively with education and residential care teams to help create positive learning and living environments.
The successful candidate will also contribute through:
Delivering therapeutic interventions
Providing consultation and guidance to staff teams
Running workshops and training sessions
Supporting therapeutic strategies across the wider setting
Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people
Requirements
Applicants must:
Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
Have experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
Be confident delivering therapeutic interventions
Have experience working collaboratively around the needs of a child or young person
Be organised, proactive, and able to use initiative
Be an effective communicator, trainer, and team contributor
Be committed to improving outcomes for young people
