How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Executive

    Overview

    Our client is a growing and ambitious commercial property and design & build business, specialising in office brokerage, workplace consultancy, and commercial fit-out projects across London.

    The Role

    The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and supporting the growth of the company's office brokerage and design & build divisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development & Lead Generation

    Identifying and targeting prospective clients across London and the South East
    Generating new business opportunities through outbound calls, networking, and referrals
    Researching businesses, occupiers, landlords, and commercial property opportunities
    Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified leads
    Arranging meetings and introductions with key decision-makers

    Relationship Management

    Developing and maintaining relationships with occupiers, landlords, property agents, and consultants
    Acting as a professional ambassador for the business at meetings and events
    Building long-term client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals
    Maintaining regular communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle

    Sales & Commercial Support

    Supporting the brokerage and design & build teams with lead generation activities
    Assisting with proposals, presentations, and client meetings
    Updating and maintaining CRM records accurately
    Monitoring market activity and identifying emerging opportunities

    Requirements

    Essential:

    Previous experience in a business development, sales, recruitment, or client-facing role
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    Confident making outbound calls and generating new business opportunities
    Self-motivated, ambitious, and target-driven
    Excellent organisational and time management skills
    Professional and confident approach when engaging with clients

    Desirable:

    Experience within commercial property, construction, fit-out, or design & build sectors
    Knowledge of office brokerage or workplace consultancy markets
    Experience using CRM systems
    Existing network within the commercial property sector
