How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Interim Materials Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the procurement and supply chain department. This position in the FMCG industry is based in Liverpool and requires someone with a strong understanding of inventory planning and supply management.

As a medium-sized organisation, it offers a structured environment with a focus on operational excellence within the procurement and supply chain sector.

    Description

    As Interim Materials Planner, duties will include, however, not be limited to:

    Manage material planning activities to ensure timely availability of stock to meet production schedules.
    Collaborate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise disruptions.
    Monitor and forecast material requirements based on production needs and market trends.
    Support procurement in sourcing materials from approved suppliers.
    Coordinate with production teams to address material shortages or delays effectively.
    Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    Prepare regular reports on material planning performance and KPIs for management review.Profile

    A successful Interim Materials Planner should have:

    Demonstrable experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning, ideally within the FMCG industry.
    A strong understanding of materials planning & management principles and supply chain processes.
    Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
