About the Role:
You will play a key role in reducing anti-social behaviour, improving the local environment, and enforcing Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) and environmental regulations across Bolton, including the town centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrol designated areas and provide a visible enforcement presence.
* Detect, deter, and address anti-social behaviour.
* Enforce PSPOs, littering offences, and environmental regulations.
* Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and prepare enforcement notices.
* Gather evidence and investigate incidents to support legal action and prosecutions.
* Maintain accurate records using PACE notebooks and other systems.
* Attend court as a witness when required.
* Engage with members of the public, offering guidance, support, and warnings where appropriate.
* Work closely with partner agencies, stakeholders, and council services.
* Promote community responsibility and environmental improvement.
What We're Looking For:
* Understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation and enforcement practices.
* Knowledge of issues affecting local communities and town centres.
* Experience working with the public and handling challenging situations.
* Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to remain professional and authoritative when necessary.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Basic DBS is required for this role.
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday however, some early evenings and occasional weekends required
* £16.43 per hour
* Initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend to 12 months and beyond
* Weekly pay via agency!
