How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:
    The successful Electrical/Electronic Engineer will support the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced engineering systems and products.     Key responsibilities include:
    * Designing and documenting complex electrical and electronic systems and architectures
    * Supporting system integration, testing, validation, and optimisation of prototype tools
    * Preparing technical requirements documentation and managing verification activities
    * Collaborating with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams to deliver complete system solutions
    * Supporting interface design including communications, cabling, and component integration
    * Identifying and resolving system design issues to improve product performance and reliability
    * Managing external suppliers and specialist contractors where required
    * Supporting production teams with calibration processes, testing procedures, and technical training
    * Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
    This role would suit a technically strong Electrical/Electronic Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and working within a fast-paced development environment. The successful Electrical/Electronic Engineer will have the opportunity to influence future product design while working on highly advanced engineering technologies.
    Skills & Experience:
    * Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
    * Minimum 5 years’ experience within Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
    * Previous experience within a Systems Engineer position or similar technical role.
    * Strong understanding of electrical and electronic system architecture.
    * Experience with motion control and high-accuracy motion systems.
    * Knowledge of testing, validation, and system integration activities.
    * Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
    * Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
    * Experience with optical systems or PLC systems would be advantageous
