How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Great Baddow (minimum 3 days per week on-site) Security Clearance: SC clearance essential

    We are looking for an experienced RF Engineer with a strong background in analogue circuitry and design engineering to support the development of advanced high-power and high-energy subsystems within innovative directed energy programmes.

    This role sits within a fast-paced Digital Intelligence environment and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies while collaborating closely with customers, partners, and multidisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Design, develop and validate RF and analogue circuitry for high-power / high-voltage applications

    · Contribute to the development of advanced subsystems within directed energy and energy-intensive platforms

    · Apply knowledge of energy storage technologies to system-level design and integration

    · Support bid activities, technical proposals, and programme delivery

    · Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and partners to deliver innovative solutions

    Skills & Experience Required

    · Experienced RF Engineer with strong practical and theoretical knowledge

    · Solid background in analogue circuit design

    · Proven experience in design engineering within complex systems

    · Ideally you will have experience working with high power and/or high voltage systems, alternatively be very willing to learn

    · Understanding of energy storage technologies (e.g., capacitive systems, pulsed power, batteries)

    · Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technically challenging programmes
