How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Advisor / Norwich / Permanent

    Position 1 Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our client’s site. Our client, operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is continuing to grow and is looking for a professional, pragmatic, and people-focused HR Advisor to join their welcoming HR team.

    Responsibilities

    · Deliver practical, people-focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

    · Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance issues.

    · Provide clear, commercially focused HR advice to managers and employees.

    · Support onboarding, development, engagement, and retention initiatives.

    · Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently.

    · Guide managers through change, wellbeing, and people-related challenges.

    · Maintain compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice.

    · Handle sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and confidence.

    · Support a fast-paced manufacturing operation with a hands-on approach.

    · Contribute to HR projects, continuous improvement, and culture initiatives.

    · Promote an inclusive, positive, and high-performing working environment.

    You will need

    * Proven HR generalist experience within a unionised organisation

    * Confident in managing a range of employee relations cases providing clear practical HR advice and managing a busy caseload

    * A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice

    * CIPD qualification (or working towards it)

    * Experience in manufacturing or operations, as well as prior involvement working with unions.
