SEND Teaching Assistant

An Outstanding primary school in Oldham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This inclusive and welcoming three-form entry school boasts excellent SEN resources, including a specialist on-site unit and access to therapy services.

You will work closely with a small group of pupils with speech and language difficulties, supporting their communication and learning. The school is highly regarded for its supportive staff, professional development opportunities, and strong links to the local community.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to pupils with speech and language needs

Assist with implementing strategies recommended by speech therapists and SENCO

Support pupils' learning in class and during small intervention sessions

Build positive relationships with pupils to enhance their confidence and engagement

Requirements:

Previous experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly speech and language needs

Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach

Right to work in the Uk
