Escape Recruitment are recruiting for a Stores & Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing business.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining stores management, stock control, purchasing and expediting activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials and consumables are available to support production while maintaining accurate inventory records and efficient stores operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores
Process goods inwards and goods outwards activities
Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities
Support production through effective materials management and production kitting
Place purchase orders for MRO items, consumables, tools and PPE
Expedite supplier deliveries and follow up on outstanding orders
Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, lead times and delivery schedules
Monitor stock levels and support replenishment activities
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S initiatives
Operate forklift trucks safely to move materials and goods around site
Experience and Knowledge required for the role:
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
Experience in stores, inventory, materials or warehouse operations
Exposure to purchasing, expediting or procurement support activities
Strong stock control and cycle counting experience
Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Comfortable using ERP, MRP or inventory management systems
Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance) preferred
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
