How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Create clear and accurate technical drawings and design specifications
    • Assist with colour, fabric, and trim selection

    Technical & Production Support

    • Develop and update technical packs, measurements, and construction details
    • Liaise with pattern cutters, sample makers, and production teams during sampling and fittings
    • Support fit sessions and assist with comments and revisions
    • Ensure designs are commercially viable and production-ready

    Sourcing & Research

    • Source fabrics, trims, and components from relevant suppliers in line with quality, cost, and sustainability goals
    • Conduct trend, fabric, and market research to support collection development
    • Maintain organised records of suppliers, samples, and design references

    Collaboration

    • Work closely with the wider design team, production team, and freelance designers
    • Support cross-functional communication to ensure smooth development timelines
    • Assist the Creative Director and senior designers with ad-hoc design tasks as required

    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    • Degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline
    • Some professional experience within the luxury or premium fashion industry
    • Strong sketching and CAD design skills
    • Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting, and sampling
    • Experience creating technical drawings and basic technical packs
    • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset

    Desirable

    • Experience working with woven fabrics, tailoring, or heritage materials
    • Familiarity with UK and European fabric and trim suppliers
    • An interest in British heritage fashion and craftsmanship

    Working Pattern

    • Based primarily in the London office
    • 1–2 days per week required in the Theale office
    • Flexible working from home 1 day per week

    Salary

    • Range between £30k - £35k per annum

    What We Offer

    • Opportunity to grow within a premium British luxury brand
    • Hands-on exposure across the full design and production process
    • A collaborative, creative, and supportive team environment
