How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Due to continued growth and new client acquisitions, they are looking to appoint a talented PPC professional and are open to considering candidates at either PPC Specialist or PPC Manager level, depending on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paid Search professional who enjoys driving performance, working across a diverse client portfolio, and developing expertise within a collaborative and forward-thinking agency environment.

    • Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve ROI and client outcomes.

    • Collaborate with digital specialists and account management teams to deliver integrated marketing strategies.
    • Contribute to client retention and account growth through excellent service and campaign performance.
    • Utilise automation, scripts, bulk uploads and platform tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

    Experience

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, analytical, and passionate about Paid Search. The client is open to speaking with candidates who are looking to progress into a management-level role, as well as experienced PPC Managers already operating at a strategic level.

You will be confident working within a client-facing environment, able to communicate performance effectively, and motivated by delivering outstanding results.

    • Hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts.
    • Strong knowledge of Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
    • Experience with Google Merchant Center, including feed diagnostics and optimisation.
    • Good understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.
    • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability.
    • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Looker Studio.
    • Comfortable using Google Ads Editor, automated rules and bulk campaign management tools.
    • Ability to analyse performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
    • Experience with Google Ads Scripts, automation tools or advanced PPC workflows would be advantageous.
    • Familiarity with CRO and user behaviour tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity would be beneficial.
    • Google Ads certifications are desirable.
    • Ecommerce experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
