What will the role involve
This opportunity sits within the legal function and focuses on supporting the team across corporate and financial services matters. Reporting to the in house team, the lawyer will be expected to operate autonomously and support a broad range of work types as they arise. Responsibilities include:
- Handling corporate matters with a particular focus on M&A activity
- Taking on financial services related work and advising on relevant regulatory considerations
- Working with stakeholders across the business as transactions progress
- Supporting bespoke corporate matters driven by the bank’s deal pipeline
- Engaging closely with external counsel where needed
What skills do they need
They are looking for a 5-9 PQE corporate lawyers with solid experience and a background in M&A. The lawyer should be confident running workstreams independently and comfortable adapting to varied and fast moving matters.
