How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are currently working with a boutique West London-based interior design studio specialising in high-end private residential projects across the UK and Europe.

They are now looking to appoint a talented Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join their collaborative and design-led team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and technically capable designer with strong residential experience to work across beautifully detailed projects from concept through to completion.

    The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior design team across all stages of the design process, delivering exceptional high-end residential schemes for private clients.

You will be involved in both the creative and technical aspects of projects, managing FF&E, preparing technical drawing packages, coordinating suppliers and contractors, and supporting projects through installation.

With no house style, their designs are bespoke and tailored to every individual client, though some of their completed projects follow the relaxed English countryside aesthetic and playful use of colour and pattern.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage interior architectural design elements and FF&E
    • Produce design schemes, samples board and presentations
    • Prepare detailed technical drawing packages in AutoCAD and SketchUp
    • Produce and manage project budgets and estimates
    • Source and procure FF&E, including antiques and bespoke pieces
    • Prepare schedules and specification documents
    • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants
    • Attend site visits and support on-site coordination as required

    Requirements

    • Degree qualified in Interior Design or equivalent
    • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and EstiMac
    • Experience delivering high-end residential projects from concept to completion
    • Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills
    • Strong FF&E knowledge, specification, and procurement experience
    • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
    • Commercial awareness with a good understanding of project budgets
    • Full UK driving licence preferred
    • London-based and able to attend the studio full-time

If you meet the criteria listed above, please apply with a copy of your CV by pressing the apply button to be considered. We receive many applications so if you do not hear from us within 5 days, please consider your application unsuccessful this time. We will keep a copy of your details on file for future vacancies.

In accordance with GDPR, by applying for this position you give us your consent to process your data in-line with our Privacy and Data Protection Policies which can be read on the privacy policy page on our website.
