How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Marquee TV

Marquee TV is a premium streaming service dedicated to art and culture, bringing world-class performances and documentaries to audiences around the world. Through our direct-to-consumer subscription service and third-party platform partnerships, we offer privileged access to the world’s best stages, galleries and artists. As the business enters its next phase of growth, we are expanding how audiences discover, engage with and experience art and culture on screen.

    About the job

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on team player to lead Marquee TV’s Operations team at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth. This is a broad, influential role at the heart of the business, with overall responsibility for ensuring our data, content workflows, supplier and platform partnerships and operational systems can support a fast-scaling international streaming service.

Reporting to the SVP Commercial, Finance and Operations, and working closely with the wider Senior Management Team, the role will turn business priorities into practical delivery - improving how we use data, how we manage and distribute content, how we operate across partner platforms, and how we build the systems and processes needed for Marquee TV’s next phase of growth.

    Role brief

    • Overall responsibility for developing the operations roadmap, and leading the iterative development and live operational delivery of our digital platforms and services
    • Maximises the impact of customer and operational data on decision-making throughout the business, by providing leadership on data strategy, use of AI and resourcing to support data analytics and management insight tools
    • Leadership of the operational processes and workflows relating to all video content on Marquee TV, including asset preparation and management, ingest and storage, including metadata creation, quality and optimisation and language localisation
    • Leads third party content syndication activities with major global streaming platforms and regional partners, primarily via management of external content supply chain partners
    • Partner with the Technology Director and Manager, Consumer Products and Delivery to ensure our tech and data stack meets existing requirements and future goals for customers and the business, including championing the optimal and appropriate use of AI
    • Collaborate with the VP Growth, VP Content & Engagement and SVP Commercial, Finance and Operations on delivering against business priorities relating to subscriber acquisition, retention, engagement and new B2B partnerships
    • Co-ordinates with external operational partners on the planning and distribution of our linear broadcast channel
    • Defines and enacts the company’s approach to internal systems governance, software licenses and tools, cyber security, business continuity and company hardware/software technology use policy. This includes responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant eternal regulations such as GDPR and OFCOM.
    • Ownership and management of departmental budgets.
    • Provision of other ad-hoc general team operational support, including maintaining access to kit and software.

    • A hands-on, proactive operator who is equally comfortable managing complex prioritisation, improving systems and workflows, and stepping into frontline delivery
    • Strong understanding of the end-to-end digital video supply chain, including asset preparation, encoding/transcoding, metadata, localisation, ingest, storage, QC, rights/availability workflows and multi-platform delivery
    • Comfortable defining standards for media formats, bitrates, resolutions, frame rates, and captioning
    • Experience in managing third-party operational, technology, content supply-chain or platform partners, with the ability to hold vendors to SLAs and delivery standards
    • Extensive experience overseeing AWS file management and encoding infrastructure, specifically S3 (incl. Lifecycles), AWS Elemental, EC2
    • Familiarity with defining best practice workflows for Media management and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and automation.
    • Highly data-literate, with experience in improving data quality, developing dashboards/insight tools and embedding evidence-based decision-making into business processes
    • Commercially minded, with the ability to connect product, platform, data and operational decisions to commercial priorities.
