How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We’re looking for an experienced Asset Risk & Performance Analyst to join a specialist Asset Health, Risk & Performance team within a major UK utilities organisation.

This is a chance to work at the heart of critical national infrastructure—helping shape how water, wastewater, and bioresources assets are managed, maintained, and invested in for the future.

If you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful insight that influences real operational and strategic decisions, this role offers that in a highly visible and impactful environment.

You’ll play a key role in developing and refining asset risk and performance insight that supports long-term planning, investment decisions, and operational resilience.
    Your work will include:

Analysing complex, multi-source datasets to support asset risk models, maintenance strategies, and system planning
Assessing asset performance and risk across infrastructure networks and asset groups
Building and maintaining robust, auditable risk models to support investment and resilience planning
Modelling failure likelihood and consequences across different scenarios to inform strategic decisions
Supporting the development of asset management plans, monitoring frameworks, and performance reporting
Producing clear, stakeholder-ready outputs including reports, GIS visualisations, risk summaries, and performance insights
Contributing to regulatory submissions and long-term investment planning frameworks
Working closely with engineering, operations, regulation, health & safety, and delivery partners
Engaging with external stakeholders such as infrastructure partners and local authorities where required
Applying asset management best practice aligned with ISO 55000 standardsAbout You

You’ll likely come from an engineering, infrastructure, asset management, or technically focused analytical background, ideally within a regulated or complex operational environment.

    You’ll bring:

Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and delivering meaningful analytical insight
A solid understanding of asset risk, performance management, or infrastructure lifecycle planning
Confidence working with spatial data tools such as ArcGIS / ESRI platforms
Exposure to statistical analysis or modelling tools such as R or Python (desirable)
The ability to communicate technical findings clearly to a range of stakeholders
A collaborative approach with experience working across engineering, operations, or delivery teams
Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and attention to detail
Experience within utilities, infrastructure, or similarly regulated environments (desirable)Candidates with experience in sectors such as large infrastructure programmes (e.g. HS2), environmental delivery, transport, energy, or utilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

    What’s on Offer
Salary up to ~£47,000 depending on experience
26 days annual leave (rising with service) + bank holidays
    Performance-related bonus scheme
    Defined contribution pension scheme
Health and wellbeing support including counselling, physiotherapy, and health checks
Cycle to Work scheme, retail discounts, and life assuranceAdditional Information
    Hybrid working model
    Full-time role (36 hours per week, Monday–Friday)
Travel to operational sites may be required
Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferredYou’ll be joining a large-scale infrastructure organisation responsible for delivering essential services to millions of people every day.  This is a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where data, engineering insight, and asset strategy come together to improve resilience, performance, and long-term sustainability across critical water systems.

If you want your analysis to directly influence how vital infrastructure is planned, maintained, and improved, this is a strong opportunity to do exactly that
