How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern, purpose-built service that is known for delivering exceptional standards of nursing, residential, and dementia care within a supportive and well-structured environment.

The service benefits from strong leadership, excellent clinical governance frameworks, and a clear commitment to continuous improvement, resident wellbeing, and high-quality, person-centred care. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated clinical leader looking to step into a visible and influential leadership role within a forward-thinking organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring consistently high clinical standards, robust compliance, and strong team performance.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support the Registered Manager with the overall leadership and operational management of the service
    • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred clinical care
    • Provide strong clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care teams
    • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and clinical governance standards
    • Monitor care quality, clinical outcomes, and service performance
    • Support staff supervision, development, and performance management
    • Assist with audits, inspections, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
    • Foster a positive, supportive culture focused on resident wellbeing and excellence in care
    • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders

    Requirements:
    • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid and active NMC PIN
    • Current nursing experience with a strong clinical background
    • Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting
    • Ideally 2+ years of leadership or management experience within elderly care services
    • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance requirements
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
    • Good IT skills and experience using care management systems
    • Passion for delivering outstanding care and leading high-performing teams
