How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MHA is now expanding its digital learning capability and looking for a friendly, creative and passionate Digital Learning Design Apprentice to help bring their e‑learning projects in‑house. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive team, make a real impact and grow your skills in a meaningful sector.

    As a Digital Learning Designer Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining digital learning materials that support professional development across MHA. You’ll help shape their growing e‑learning portfolio and contribute to exciting new projects that improve training for staff across the organisation.

    This is a hybrid role with at least one day per week in the Derby office, and the rest of the time working from home. If you prefer more office time, you’re welcome to come in as often as you like.

    Entry requirements


    To join this apprenticeship, you’ll need:

    • GCSE Maths and English at grade C / Level 4 or above
    • Curiosity, creativity and the motivation to develop new digital skills
    • A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck into hands‑on projects


    You don’t need previous experience — passion and the right attitude matter most. The ideal apprentice will:


    • Have a genuine passion for learning and an interest in digital learning design
    • Be confident working independently, with strong self‑motivation
    • Bring creativity and fresh ideas, and enjoy trying new things
    • Have some IT confidence (helpful but not essential)
    • Be eager to learn new tools, software and design techniques



    Training to be provided

    Ready to level up your creativity and shape the future of digital learning? Join Apprentify’s Level 5 Digital Learning Designer Apprenticeship and dive into a training experience that’s hands‑on, innovative and genuinely enjoyable.


    As an apprentice, you’ll learn through an energising mix of real workplace projects, interactive online sessions and practical design challenges — with 80% on‑the‑job experience and 20% dedicated learning time to help you grow fast. All training is delivered online, making it flexible and easy to fit around your role.


    During the programme, you’ll build in‑demand skills across:

    • Design & Development – create engaging digital learning experiences that really land
    • Stakeholder Collaboration – work with teams across the business to bring ideas to life
    • Project Management – plan, deliver and evaluate digital learning projects with confidence

    Things to consider

    Hybrid role, with at least 1 day per week in the Derby office. Salary will be £7491 for the first six months, rising to £8613 for the second six months, for a salary of £16,104 for the first year.



    Future prospects

    This is a hybrid role, with at least one day per week in the Derby office and the rest of the week working from home. You’re also welcome to spend more time in the office if you prefer. The apprenticeship comes with a clear and supportive salary progression:

    Months 1–6: £8,658

    Months 7–12: £9,957

    Total Year 1 Salary: £18,615


    Year 2 Salary: £24,892
